The purpose of this Data Protection Policy is to provide detailed information to data subjects on the Personal Data Protection Policy of ALDEAS SCHOLAS, S.L.U. (hereinafter, "ALDEAS") in compliance with the applicable regulations, i.e. Regulation (EU) 2016/679, of 27 April 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter, the "GDPR"), and Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the protection of personal data and guarantee of digital rights (hereinafter, abbreviated to "LOPDGDDD" in Spanish).
This Data Protection Policy is intended to help the User make informed decisions when using the Website and understand how we will handle the personal information provided when sending emails to the email addresses included on the Website or when submitting data through the forms available there (you are hereby informed that all fields marked with an asterisk (*) on the forms must be filled in. Failure to complete any of these fields may make it not possible to proceed with your request).

The User guarantees that the data submitted or provided is true, accurate, complete and up to date, and agrees to be held liable for any direct or indirect damages that may arise as a result of non-compliance with this obligation. In the event that the data provided belong to a third party, the User assures that he/she has informed said third party of the content of this Data Protection Policy and has obtained its prior authorisation to provide such data to ALDEAS for the appropriate purposes.
WHO IS THE DATA CONTROLLER OF THE USER'S PERSONAL DATA?
ALDEAS SCHOLAS, S.L.U, a limited liability company with tax identification number B-56301609 and registered office in Madrid (P.C. 28006), calle Pinar 17, registered with the Madrid Companies Register under Volume 45,680, Folio 1, Section 8, Page M-803143, 1st entry. Contact e-mail: info@aldeas.org is the data controller of the User´s personal data.
FOR WHAT PURPOSE DO WE PROCESS THE USER'S PERSONAL DATA?
The purpose pursued by ALDEAS shall be, as applicable, the comprehensive handling of:
A) Queries, questions, information requests, complaints or any other type of communications sent by the User to the e-mail address included in Section 1.
B) Any requests the User may send to us at the e-mail address included in Section 1 to exercise his/her data protection rights.
C) Requests to receive newsletters and commercial/promotional communications regarding ALDEAS and its projects, in those cases where the User ticks the relevant box and consent for these purposes is requested.
WHAT ARE THE LEGAL GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING OF THE USER'S PERSONAL DATA?
The legal grounds that entitle and enable us to process the User's personal data, depending on the type of communication received therefrom, are as follows:
A) Handling of queries, questions, information requests, complaints or any other type of communications sent by the User: the processing of personal data is based on the consent given by the User when sending us his/her query, question, request or complaint.
B) Handling of requests to exercise the User´s rights: the processing of personal data is based on the fulfilment of our legal obligations.
C) Handling of requests to receive newsletters and commercial/promotional communications regarding ALDEAS and its projects: the processing of personal data is based on the consent given by the User when ticking the box provided for this purpose next to the form where the personal data are requested.
HOW LONG SHALL WE KEEP THE USER'S PERSONAL DATA?
Depending on the type of communication received from the User, ALDEAS shall keep the personal data as outlined below. Thereafter, ALDEAS shall keep the User´s Data during any required period to comply with legal obligations for the filing, exercise or defence of claims, or to address any potential liabilities:
A) Handling of queries, questions, information requests, complaints or any other type of communications sent by the User: the personal data provided shall be kept for the time necessary to address the query, question, information request, complaint or communication sent by the User.
B) Handling of requests to exercise the User´s rights: the personal data provided shall be kept for the time necessary to address and answer the User´s request to exercise his/her rights.
C) Handling of requests to receive newsletters and commercial/promotional communications regarding ALDEAS and its projects: the personal data provided shall be kept until the consent given by the User is revoked.
TO WHICH RECIPIENTS SHALL THE USER'S PERSONAL DATA BE DISCLOSED?
Personal data shall not be disclosed to third parties (except for potential data processors providing any required ancillary services to ALDEAS for its normal operation, such as hosting providers, operational management tool providers, or those responsible for managing the Website), except where required by any competent authorities in the exercise of their functions. Consequently, the personal data provided by the User on the Website may be disclosed to public authorities, courts and other administrative bodies when we deem it necessary to comply with a legal obligation, initiate legal proceedings or defend against claims.
WHAT ARE THE USER´S RIGHTS WHEN PROVIDING ANY PERSONAL DATA?
The User may exercise the following rights in relation to any personal data provided to ALDEAS:
A) Right to access: the User is entitled to obtain confirmation as to whether ALDEAS is processing any personal data concerning him/her, and to access such personal data.
B) Right to rectify: the User may request the rectification of inaccurate data or the completion of incomplete data.
C) Right to erasure: the User is entitled to request the deletion or removal of his/her personal data in certain circumstances, including but not limited to, where the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or where the User withdraws his/her consent in relation to any processing based thereon. Should the User revoke his/her consent to receive newsletters and commercial/promotional communications concerning ALDEAS and its projects, he/she may unsubscribe by clicking on the link provided for this purpose in each commercial communication received.
D) Right to restriction of processing: the User is entitled to request, in certain circumstances, the temporary restriction of the processing of any personal data provided. This may apply where the User disputes the accuracy of such personal data or objects to its processing, in which case, the personal data shall only be retained for the purpose of pursuing or defending claims.
E) Right to data portability: in the case of specific data processing conducted by automated means, the User is entitled to receive the personal data he/she has provided to us (in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format) and to request its transfer to another data controller, provided such transfer is technically feasible.
F) Right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.agpd.es). Should the User have any concerns about our privacy practices, including how we have handled his/her personal data, he/she may file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, particularly if he/she is unsatisfied with the outcome of exercising his/her rights.
The User is entitled to exercise his/her legal rights against ALDEAS at any time by submitting a written request to the email address: info@aldeas.org (stating "Exercise of personal data protection rights" in the subject line). He/she shall sufficiently identify him/herself and specify the details of the request, provide his/her address for notifications purposes, and include the date and his/her signature. If applicable, any supporting documents related to the request should likewise be attached thereto. The User may be asked to provide a copy of his/her Identity Card No./Tax Id. No. (passport or other valid identification document) if there are reasonable doubts as to his/her identity.
